What is the XCM route?
The XCM route is the Polkadot-native exit for assets that should return to Polkadot or another parachain rather than Manta Pacific.
XCM is the cross-chain messaging format used across the Polkadot ecosystem. In practical migration terms, it matters because not every Atlantic asset belongs on Pacific. If you hold DOT, GLMR, USDt, or another non-MANTA asset, treat XCM as the path to check first and confirm the destination chain before signing.

The FAQ says the exact stop can vary by a few days because it depends on block production. That makes the practical deadline earlier than the final block: allow time for wallet setup, unstaking or unbonding where relevant, exchange withdrawals, XCM routing, and transaction confirmation.

What happens if you miss it?
Missing the deadline is different for MANTA and non-MANTA assets. Manta describes a post-shutdown MANTA snapshot fallback, but it also says non-MANTA assets must be moved by the holder before expiry.
Do not treat the fallback as a reason to wait. A normal migration flow is easier to verify while Atlantic is still producing blocks and wallets can still complete migration-related transfers. For non-MANTA balances, the page's conservative rule is simple: identify the asset, pick the Pacific or XCM route, and move before the deadline.

How do you move MANTA to Pacific?
Use the official Atlantic migration flow and choose Manta Pacific as the destination when the app supports that route for your wallet and balance. Atlantic uses Substrate-style addresses, while Pacific uses Ethereum-style 0x addresses, so confirm the receiving address carefully.
What is XCM?
XCM is Polkadot's cross-chain messaging system. For Atlantic migration, it is the route to evaluate when an asset should move back to Polkadot or another parachain instead of being represented on Manta Pacific.
